Antonio Milošoski, a member of VMRO-DPMNE and former head of diplomacy in North Macedonia, sharply criticized the appointment of Taljat Džaferi as the prime minister of the technical government, saying that he deserted from the Macedonian Army and cannot be a good prime minister.

„Do not expect Taljat Džaferi to be a good prime minister of North Macedonia. A deserter from the army cannot properly lead a country. The DUI does not have the quality to lead the country. SDSM, PRSDM, and other partners have made the Macedonians tenants in their own country today. Those who say this is a historic day should say so because historically speaking, Macedonia has more debt, corruption, passports for criminals around the world, and historically speaking, we have more people on the US blacklist,“ said Milošoski.

The VMRO-DPMNE party will be part of the technical government, although they have warned that they will not vote for the government.

Taljat Džaferi was one of the commanders of the UÇK (Liberation Army) branch in North Macedonia.

Furthermore, it is stated that an armed conflict with the Macedonian police and army lasted throughout 2001 and ended with international mediation, and the ONA surrendered its weapons to NATO.

Džaferi, a former JNA and Macedonian Army officer, is suspected of involvement in a terrible massacre on April 28, 2001, during the war in Macedonia. The massacre was carried out near the village of Vejce, which belongs to Tetovo and is only three kilometers from the border with Kosovo. Albanian terrorists ambushed a column of special police, members of the special unit „Wolves,“ and the internal affairs sector of Bitola. They brutally killed, maimed, and then burned eight special forces members and severely wounded six more. One vehicle from the column managed to escape and tell the others what happened.

In conclusion, this appointment has stirred controversy and criticism, with many questioning Džaferi’s suitability for the role of prime minister, given his past involvement in armed conflict and allegations of serious crimes.
