Beograd – Patriarch Serbian Porfirije led a solemn ceremony today at the Cathedral of Saint Archangel Michael in Belgrade at the appointment of Archimandrite Serafim as the Bishop of Kostajnica, vicar of the Metropolitan of Central-Western America.

Archimandrite Serafim accepted the will and decision of the Holy Hierarchical Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church, which elected him as the Bishop of Kostajnica, vicar of the Metropolitan of Central-Western America, at the regular session held from May 14 to 18, 2024, announced the SOC.

Serafim then led the evening service in the presence of the patriarch, bishops, clergy, monastics, and faithful people.
