Beograd – Institut Servantes announced today that during April they will organize exhibitions, workshops for children and adults, film and reading clubs, as well as thematic walks in Belgrade.

The last expert tour through the exhibition „Image and Word. Parisian Hangouts“, in collaboration with David Puzado and Monse Ordonez, will be held on April 13 (12:00), the Servantes Institute announced.

As announced, a free Sephardic Belgrade walk will be organized on April 14 (11:00) from the Sukat Shalom synagogue, and the tour is part of the „Sephardic Belgrade“ project, which is carried out once a month by the Jewish Community of Belgrade and the Servantes Institute.

In anticipation of World Book Day, the Servantes Institute announced the exhibition with a mysterious title „Pastinski“, authored by Giuseppe Maria de Llobet, which, at first glance, is a story about an apartment in the heart of Barcelona and its unusual occupants, but also speaks about the housing crisis, gentrification, and migrations.

„The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Belgrade Photo Book Week, and ahead of the opening on April 25 (18:0), a discussion on the challenges of publishers and the potential of photo books in Spain will be held,“ the statement said.

Servantes announced that starting on April 8, the „Jose Jero“ library will once again organize calligraphy workshops for adults, and this month, the focus will be on constitutional letters, under the guidance of Oliver Stojadinovic, a professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade.

As announced, a fun storytelling workshop for children aged three to seven will be held on April 20 (11:00), led by actor Radivoj Knezevic, and „is open to children who speak Serbian or other languages, as they get to know the first words in Spanish through a series of interesting activities and games.“

The theme of the reading club on April 25 (18:30) will be the award-winning novel by Antonio Munjos Molina „Winter in Lisbon“, and a thematic gathering for fans of social games „Let’s Play in Spanish“ is on April 27 (15:00), announced Servantes.

As announced, the virtual reading club for beginners in learning Spanish is dedicated to the edition „Destination: Barcelona“, and the online film club in April brings a free screening of the cult Spanish film „Ahold in tru“ directed by Jose Maria Forka.
