Elektroprivreda Srbije“ announced discounts of 20% to 40% for households that saved electricity in November 2023, with as many as 20.1% of households achieving the highest discount by reducing consumption by more than 30%.

The most significant reduction in electricity consumption was recorded in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Šabac, Valjevo, Loznica, Niš, Smederevo, and Kragujevac.

According to EPS, almost every other household in Serbia saved electricity in November last year. About 1.6 million households saved at least 5% of electricity compared to the same month in the previous two years.

Out of 3.34 million active customer households, 49% were able to reduce their consumption and were entitled to a reduction in their November bill.

4.2% of households achieved a 35% discount, with electricity savings of 25% to 30%. 5.2% of customers achieved electricity savings of 20% to 25% in November, compared to the same month in the previous two years (which was a condition for an additional discount).

Six percent of households reduced consumption by 15% to 20% and achieved a 25% discount, while 13.3% spent 5% to 15% less electricity and thus received a 20% discount.

An additional 5% discount was achieved by customers who increased their participation in the lower tariff in the monthly calculation by at least 5% compared to the same month in 2022, with 420,315 customers, which is 13% of the total number of metering points, able to do so.
