Local authorities in Italy have announced the discovery of a pre-Roman necropolis with a treasure trove of artifacts during excavation for the foundations of a substation for railway electrification in the south of the country. The necropolis was found near the town of Amorosi, about 50 kilometers from Naples, according to a statement from local authorities, reported by Reuters. This well-preserved necropolis has 88 tombs, covers an area of about 13,000 square meters, and dates back to the 8th to 7th centuries BC.
