General Ozkan Ulutaş, KFOR commander, stated today that the mission is ready to respond to any threat and will continue to support the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. Ulutaş told Anadolu Agency that KFOR continues to do its best to provide a secure environment for the well-being of all people living in Kosovo.

„KFOR has been providing a secure environment for all communities in Kosovo for 25 years. We will continue to do so in 2024. We will continue our efforts to prevent the escalation of tensions and I want to assure you that we are ready to respond to any threat,“ Ulutaş said.

According to him, stability depends on all parties choosing diplomacy over conflict.

„We will continue to support the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina by providing the necessary secure environment for the progress of diplomatic efforts. Lasting peace and stability for all people living in Kosovo. That is the only way,“ Ulutaş emphasized.

He reiterated that KFOR will continue its mission in Kosovo for as long as necessary.
